How we got it done
A rooftop unit is too heavy and too awkward to muscle into place, so a job like this is planned around the lift. The steel and the unit come in on trailers, the roof openings and curbs are ready before anyone arrives, and the crane sets up where it can reach the roof cleanly.
On this job a new structural steel frame was built over the roof curbs to carry the unit. The crane lifted the unit from the trailer up to the roof, where the crew guided it down onto the frame, squared it up and secured it.
